Dr Avnesh Ratnanesan
Founder & CEO
Dr Avi is the Founder and CEO of Energesse, a leading digital health and advisory firm specializing in improving patient experience and pandemic management in healthcare. As a health futurist, Dr Avi has also helped advise on trends as well as develop innovative decision-support solution for hospitals and health services to manage the pandemic performance efficiently and effectively.
Dr Avi’s unique career began as a medical doctor in the UK and Australia, working across public and private sectors. After an MBA (Hons), he ventured into biotech and pharmaceuticals with responsibilities from researching high-profile medicines such as ‘Viagra’, to Chief of Staff and advisor to the CEO of industry leader Pfizer Australia. He helped manage products worth over $100mil a year and strategically grow the overall organization to over $1 billion a year in revenue. Prior to Energesse, Dr Avi successfully founded 2 other companies in digital technology.
Dr Avi is regularly featured in the media and a high rated international keynote speaker. He has presented his views at conferences in World Congress of Prevention & Wellness, Future of Medicare Conference, Future of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme Summit, Health Insurance Summit and the Healthcare Analytics Summit. Dr Avi is a Council member of the Australian Hospital and Healthcare Association (AHHA) and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Jason is the Chief Technology Officer at Energesse and is also a Specialist in our real time patient feedback offering. Jason heads-up the development of our PXme tool and leads implementation and client engagement with our current clients. Jason comes to Energesse with over 17 years of experience in the digital health space mainly in the implementation and optimisation of electronic medical records in the United States and Australia. Jason has also worked in the aged care sector in Australia as well as the New South Wales Ministry of Health.
Jason is passionate about technology and the role it can be play in improving the patient experience. Jason brings that passion to Energesse as it seeks to bring solutions to market that can transform the way patient experience is viewed, measured, tracked, and improved.
Outside of work, Jason is also passionate about sports. If he’s not with his family, he can found watching one of his long-time favourite teams halfway around the globe (sometimes in the middle of the night) or attending a game in person to support one of his favourite “footy” teams.
Olivia de Guzman
Olivia is highly experienced in the health and wellness industry having helped a health and wellness institute with their marketing efforts and community activities in Diabetes Awareness. In addition, she has provided senior administrative support to government and international companies for over 10 years. Her background also includes working for a large software development company dedicated to providing high quality educational materials for the maritime industry.
Olivia’s diverse skill set also includes serving as a marketing manager for an international school where she extensively utilised her skills in customer service and communications. In her spare time, Olivia expands her personal wellness by enjoying off-roading, camping and being close to nature.
Charles is a Product Analyst specialising in performance analytics with a strong inclination towards quantitative data. Having worked with Energesse for the past couple years, Charles has dived deeper into healthcare; co-developing the PXme as well as key projects spearheaded by Energesse towards patient experience.
Rob is an experienced corporate advisor in the technology, media and telco sectors. He has extensive experience in traditional and digital media, social media, technology and FMCG sectors, as an executive, entrepreneur, consultant and corporate advisor. He is passionate about growing businesses and helping the people who do just that.
Currently, he provides corporate advisory services with Venture Advisory. Previously, he was the Director of Strategy at Fairfax Media where he was responsible for corporate strategy, M&A activities and strategic planning. Earlier, he was a senior executive with Peakhour, a VC-funded technology start-up, a senior marketing executive with Coca-Cola and a consultant with Booz & Co.
He is a Director with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Sydney Film Festival and Choice (the Australian Consumers Association).
Darrell is an engineer by background, having spent 15 years working at Rolls-Royce in various R&D related positions, ultimately becoming Chief Engineer responsible for the company’s long-term future military engine strategy. He left the company in 1996 to first help set up a high technology company before entering a programme of systematic innovation research at the University of Bath. He continues actively use and develop the Systematic Innovation methodology, with the help of 30 full-time research staff.
With over 600 systematic innovation-related papers and articles to his name, plus the best-selling ‘Hands-On Systematic Innovation’ books, Darrell is now one of the most widely published authors on the innovation subject in the world. He is CEO of Systematic Innovation Ltd, a UK based innovation company with offices and affiliates in India, Malaysia, Korea, China, Japan, Denmark, Turkey, Russia, Australia, US and Austria.
For the last 15 years he has helped many of the world’s top companies to create stronger IP, participating in the creation of over 400 inventions. Projects he has been involved in have resulted in the creation of several billion dollars of new value to clients.
Danny O’ Connor
Danny O’ Connor is the former Chief Executive and Board Member of the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). WSLHD was the first customer of the Energesse real-time feedback solution in 2016 and has been a client for 3 years.
He was a former Board Member Westmead Institute for Medical Research. Board Member HealthShare, NSW, Board Member at WentWest Primary Health Network, Board Member HealtheNet program. He is helping Energesse acquire and retain clients and build relationships with other hospital CEO’s and senior management teams.
Dr. Milton Lum Siew Wah is a respected clinician and leading expert in Malaysian and Asian healthcare. He is helping Energesse grow in the Asian market, and he is a member of the Malaysian Medical Council and previously served as the President of Malaysian Medical Association, President of Federation of Private Medical Practitioners Associations of Malaysia, President of Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia, and Executive Board Member of International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
Dr. Lum was previously FIGO Visiting Professor and his interests are office gynaecology, minimally invasive surgery, patient safety and medico- legal medicine. He is a graduate of the University of Malaya and had his postgraduate training in the teaching hospitals in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Gateshead and Manchester in the United Kingdom.
Matt Riemann, Founder & CEO of ph360 & Shae, the world’s leading personalized health platform and mobile app based on epigenetics and personalized lifestyle medicine. He leads a global team, has been consulted by the United Nations, World Health Organization and the United States Army and is a sought-after speaker and educator.
He obtained his Bachelors and Masters in Applied Sciences from UniSA and is a featured speaker, having spoken at a TED talk, Bulletproof Conference, lecturing at Universities and global events and conferences. Matt is a visionary and social entrepreneur at the forefront of changing world health, with partnerships and a global mission to contribute to ending chronic pain and disease on the planet.
Mr. Matthew Tice is the Chief Executive Officer of Insurgence, a firm dedicated to helping organisations to navigate (and lead) through disruptive change. Insurgence helps clients at the nexus of strategy, innovation and leadership to accelerate growth by discovering new paths to market and building disruptive business models. In his previous role, Matt was Managing Director and founding Partner for Asia-Pacific at The Palladium Group. Mr. Tice is a leading advisor to CEOs across Asia-Pacific in the areas of strategy design and execution, leadership, innovation and governance.

He has worked as a senior advisor with many of the region’s leading organisations including BHP Billiton, Toyota, Pfizer, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, Canon, Telstra, Merck, BaoSteel, Maybank, the central Banks of Malaysia and Indonesia, and several emerging market National Governments. Mr. Tice has experience working with clients on six continents.
Ashok Rudy is the Director of Energesse Malaysia and he is leading the expansion of Energesse operations into the Asian Region with 15 years experience in marketing and customer experience knowledge in the region. He graduated in law from the UK in 1997 but delved into the communications industry upon his return. He was mesmerised by the dynamism and creativity involved in the trade and saw abundance of opportunity.
He later did his Masters in Marketing with Curtin University, Australia while working as a marketing consultant. Being meticulous and committed, he rose the ranks quickly in the local and multinational companies he was attached to and has an intimate working relationship with huge corporate brands such as Maxis, Shell, Nike, Maybank, Tesco, Hugo Boss, Lipton, Cornetto to name a few.
AshokRudy is the founding partner of Acquire Sdn Bhd, a 15 year old, Malaysian based marketing consultancy firm. While at Acquire Ashok has managed to build the consultancy division to advise leading players in education, property, hospitality and technology with businesses worth over RM 100 million.
Ashok is a Chartered Marketer awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK and a Council Member of Institute Of Marketing Malaysia, the largest marketing body in Malaysia. He speaks at various marketing engagements and coaches entrepreneurs and innovators on marketing and sales.
